Hey, I’m Braden 👋

I live in Melbourne.

I’m a dad to a beautiful little girl.

And I’ve been obsessed with cameras for as long as I can remember.

Even back in school, I was that kid making short films with my friends and stupid funny skits with my family.

It was just for fun.

But I loved it.

My first real step into the creative world came when I worked as a product photographer at Culture Kings.

That job gave me a solid foundation…

Learning about lenses.

Lighting setups.

Studio gear.

But what really stuck with me was watching the videography team at work.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but seeing their workflow planted the seed for everything that came next…

Fast forward a few years…

I was studying business and working a boring banking job when I stumbled across a guy named Parker Walbeck on YouTube.

He was running a filmmaking course called Full Time Filmmaker.

I started watching his one-hour free training. But within five minutes, I was completely hooked.

I suddenly felt confident that a career in filmmaking was actually possible.

So I decided to invest in the full course.

I was still studying business at the time and tried my best to keep going, but I found the filmmaking topics so much more fascinating.

I’d actually sit there with a pen and notepad, aggressively taking notes and soaking everything in.

I took the risk and dropped out of university to really pursue my passion for videography.

After building my skills and experience

I ended up working as an in-house videographer at King Kong.

The marketing agency

founded by Sabri Suby.

That experience was huge for me.

It pushed me to grow fast, learning how to deliver high-end, professional video at a really high standard.

While things were going great at King Kong, it also gave me the drive to build something of my own.

My client work was in demand, and I wanted to take everything I’d learned and create a company that helps more people access professional video.

That’s how Motion Rise was born.

To be honest, though…

In the beginning, Motion Rise was pretty typical.

Just your standard videography service taking on all kinds of projects.

I was doing what most videographers do…

Learning as I went, and trying to figure out where I could make the biggest impact.

Over time, through working with so many different businesses…

I started to realise there was a real gap.

Not just for more videos,

but for better video solutions.

I began to see where I could genuinely add the most value.

And that’s when Motion Rise started to evolve.

Today, Motion Rise is centred around videography solutions that go beyond typical videography projects.

Affordable filming-only services that make high-quality footage more accessible.

Consulting for creators who need help setting up their space.

Hands-on training for in-house videographers looking to level up their skills.

And this is just the beginning.

I’m always learning, refining, and finding new ways to offer real video solutions for businesses and creators.
