This upgrade is ideal for businesses and creators who want to skip the tedious prep work, reduce storage requirements, and get straight into editing.By default, footage from a filming session is delivered as raw original camera files. These are large, unprocessed files that are transferred on set at the end of the shoot and then sorted and prepared in post-production.
The Culling Service is an optional upgrade designed to simplify that process and make post-production more efficient.
Instead of handing over everything untouched, I’ll do a light first pass to remove anything clearly unusable. I’ll sync audio where applicable, apply light audio adjustments, and add a basic colour correction so everything looks clean, consistent, and ready to drop straight into your timeline.
You still receive all usable takes. Nothing is creatively filtered out or edited for you. It’s simply a cleaner, more organised starting point that reduces prep time and makes the edit easier to work with.
Because the overall file size is significantly smaller than the original camera media, this version of the footage can be delivered online via a Dropbox download link. Raw footage is often too large to upload or download practically, whereas culled footage makes online delivery possible without needing to transfer hundreds of gigabytes by hand.
This upgrade is ideal for businesses or creators who want a smoother post-production workflow, less storage overhead, and easier access to their files.
For advanced teams who prefer complete control over every stage of post-production, raw files may still be the better fit. For most people, the Culling Service offers a more convenient and efficient way to receive their footage.
Turnaround time
Turnaround time for the Culling Service is typically 1–3 business days, depending on the size of the shoot and current workload. If you have a specific deadline, feel free to mention it ahead of time and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
